Methods

Behavioral therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy is one of four psychotherapeutic approaches recognized in Germany.


The focus of behavioral therapy is to perceive, recognize and, if necessary, change your current behavior as well as your thoughts, evaluations and your own attitudes. 

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT for short - action - is a therapeutic approach from the so-called third wave of behavioral therapy. ACT is a method that is used in psychotherapy as well as in coaching and counseling. 


ACT is a modern development of behavioral therapy that aims to reduce avoidance behavior in relation to unpleasant experiences (both internal and external) (acceptance) and to build values-related, committed action and change (commitment).


In ACT, classic behavioral therapy techniques are combined with mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies as well as interventions to clarify values. The goal of ACT is to increase psychological flexibility in order to act according to our values ​​in a constantly changing inner and outer world. This is intended to help us lead a life that is personally meaningful to us.

Questionnaire & contract

After you have contacted me, I will send you some documents, including an initial questionnaire and consulting contract.

Fill out the documents & send them back

You fill out the questionnaire and the contract for the online psychological counseling and send them back to me.

Appointment

Once I have all the necessary documents, we will arrange an appointment for the initial consultation. You then pay the fee within 3 days.

Psychological online counseling, online therapy & psychotherapy


Unfortunately, in Germany, the implementation of online therapy as part of online psychotherapy by licensed psychotherapists and doctors is generally not yet permitted and is not yet reimbursed by health insurance companies. Psychotherapy is a protected term, and while psychotherapy can already be carried out as online therapy in some countries, according to German law, psychotherapy can only take place online to a limited extent. Personal contact must take place at the beginning and during the course of psychotherapy. 


Although there are more and more offers for online psychological consultations, online psychological counseling or coaching, there are no regulations regarding online psychological counseling or coaching on the Internet, which is why the consultations are often offered and carried out by inadequately trained individuals. In distress, many people seeking help often turn to offers in the Internet that are sometimes dubious and make false promises. There are currently not many psychological psychotherapists who offer online consultations or online psychological counseling. 


That is why I would like to support you as a trained and licensed clinical psychologist & psychotherapist - with my knowledge acquired over many years, not only in theory, but above all in practice. I would like to offer you my support if you are unable to find offline therapists or clinical psychologist or if psychotherapy is not an option for you, without you having to compromise on the professionalism and quality of the consultation.

Please note that the psychological online counseling offered here does not constitute online therapy/psychotherapy within the meaning of the Psychotherapists Act. Online psychological counseling cannot offer adequate support in all cases. Some problems, particularly acute psychological crises and mental disorders, require personal and long-term contact. Therefore, I reserve the right to reject requests. In these cases, please contact the practicing psychotherapist in your area.
